Common Questions
The Starter Package includes a remote design consultation, and several hours of individualized web design. You provide a registered domain name, basic written content, and images. Your new one-page website will be dynamic and mobile-friendly. Up to five email addresses are included.
Absolutely. As an add-on service, I can help with written content creation and editing, as well as photo optimization and finding appropriate stock photos.
Premium features, such as additional pages, galleries and portfolios can be included for an extra fee. We will discuss the website design that best fits your needs during the initial consultation.
I will “stage” your website temporarily through the design process. You will be able to view the website during the design process using a temporary URL. When it is finalized and ready to deploy, I will point the nameserver to the correct domain name and it will go “live”.
The starter pack allows up to five email addresses, and all Premium websites include up to 10 email addresses. For either package, additional emails may be added beyond this for an additional fee.
Full access rights to the website are yours, and you will be given the WordPress login and password. Should you wish to change hosts or web managers, just provide me 30 days written notice and the website will be turned over to you.
All of my websites have a Secure Socket Layer (SSL) certificate to encrypt data between the web server and the browser, keeping your info secure. I also install a security plug-in on my websites to add an extra layer of protection. These are best-practices to discourage hackers from getting into your website; no one can guarantee security, but having basic preventive protection in place is a must. Websites with online stores will need to add additional security measures to protect online transactions.
The ongoing support is for maintaining your existing website, including updates to the WordPress theme and plug-ins, and may also include yearly hosting (if desired). It does not include any major changes to the content, theme or design.
Yes, this can be added as an additional service, and has an excellent return on investment. I can help manage the Google Business Profile (GBP) and Google Search Console, as well as set up and monitor SEO and Website Analytics plugins on the website.
While I don’t provide direct marketing itself, I can advise on improving brand recognition, promoting a positive brand presence, and marketing strategies.
After a website is completed and paid for there are no refunds. During the process of creating the site, you will be involved in approving the design and style, and up to 5 change requests will be made accordingly (additional design time will be billed beyond 5 changes).
Upon creation, you will be free to modify the website or change hosting at any time. However, all yearly services for maintenance, ongoing support, or SEO are billed annually, and are typically not refundable after payment is received. To cancel any yearly service, please provide 30 days notice in writing in advance of the due date.
I teach others how to manage their own WordPress website. With a little bit of education and practice, you can become confident with changing content and making edits in the WordPress platform. You can join a group lesson, or I can provide individual training.
